The Duncansville Borough Police has (2) two full time officers and (4) four part time officers. We also have (10) ten Auxiliary Polices, who aid the department in traffic details, special detail events, as well as patrol during regular officer scheduled shifts.

The Duncansville police added the second full time position in 2000, as a means to balance a large issue with part time turn over, increased call volume, and increase safety and patrol. Our department strives very hard in enforcing the local, state and federal laws.

The officers of this department are all active members of the Blair County DUI Task Force, Blair County Drug Task Force, and certain officers have been selected to participate on the Blair County Warrant Squad.
Our department strives to provide a safe community to the citizens of Duncansville, well providing safe highways for the traveling motorist, who travel through our wonderful Borough. We pride our selves on being safe and professional for a safer community.

Our department participates in several community events each year, here are some to name a few:
Duncansville Street Sale, Memorial Day Parade, Police Memorial Service, Community Days event, Police Memorial Gold Tournament, National Night Out Against Crime, FOP Events, including the FOP Fall Golf Tournament, Duncansville Community Halloween (Trick or Treat Night), Duncansville Community Christmas Tree Lighting.

This past year we have become involved in the State Funded (grant) Smooth Operator Program, this program provides additional funding to departments to target aggressive driving on State Highways. This is just one more tool to aid in keeping the highways of Duncansville safe.
Each of our officers receive training in various fields to better perform their duties. We are proud to have the equipment and training to go along with the equipment for each of the officers. We offer up to date weapons and training for the following: side arm, Shotgun, and AR-15. We are always looking ahead to see what new tools can be added, which will increase our ability to provide the most amount of safety to our citizens.
